So CBS officially canned Don Imus last week, because he said something particularly dumb and then followed it up by doing something even dumber. As somebody who has lots in common with the old fart (like, we’re both talk show hosts without a network contract) let me just say this: let you without sin chuck the first rock.

I mean, really, who of us has never insulted team of female college basketball players on a live radio program? Well? Yeah, that’s what I thought. If only I had a nickel for every time I’ve been fired from a widely syndicated morning radio program for doing the same thing, well, I’d, uh… er …hey, how about this crazy weather?

One last word to you, Imus: now that your show is off the air, can you put in a good word for me with CBS? Thanks, bud.
